Imperial Titles and Honorifics

A space for Imperial missives, thoughts, diaries, and stories.

The following are the proper forms of address for the various officers and ranked persons in the Empire.

  • Emperor – His Imperial Majesty or your majesty Thank you for the emeril, your majesty.
  • Duke/Duchess – your Grace Your base is really exquisite, your Grace!
  • Master Archivist – (equal rank with Chancellor) – your Eminence Submitting this screen shot for the archives, your Eminence.
  • Senator – your Excellency Your Excellency, can I have a word with you about the upcoming Senate meeting?
  • Count/Countess (Nobility) – Lord Count/Lady Countess Thanks for the help with those pirates, Lord Count!
  • Baron/Baroness (Nobility) – Lord Baron/Lady Baroness Did you need a stack of tritium, Lady Baroness, or did you get some?
  • Governor – Governor Thanks for the invite, Governor!
  • Lord/Lady (Aristocracy) – my lord/my lady Wow, that’s a beautiful ship, my lord.
  • Eld Citizen – No honorific specifically required. Mr./Ms./Mx. when addressing a citizen formally. Are you attending the Senate meeting, Mr. Redpanda?
  • Astronaut – No formal address. Astronauts are non-citizens. Some astronauts have titles from their home systems/civilizations. It is respectful but not mandatory to use these titles with ambassadors and representatives from other civilizations.

Honorifics are required to be used by nobility and above. Aristocrats, citizens, and astronauts are not required to address others by an honorific. When addressing others with the honorific, either use their full title and name (Governor Red Tiger) or the above honorifics.
